I wanted to save a thought as more thoughts kept coming. I grabbed a piece of paper that was folded in half, then half again but was already covered all over with notations I’d made some time before, so I opened it up to use the other side. There she was again, ready to listen. I jotted the words and made a few scratches.
Here’s the quote I wanted to save: “For all that has happened—thanks. For all that shall be—yes.” Dag Hammarskjold
