Leg for leg, this tiny little caterpillar heading in my direction was zipping along faster than me, like it had something important to do. It was on a mission! I stopped to take a couple of quick pictures then watched it scurrying on its way.
According to legend, these little brown and black caterpillars, called wooly bears, are forecasters of the winter weather to come. The more black color, the harsher the winter, and the more rusty-brown, the milder. Looks to me like it’s going to be an easy winter. We’ll see.😘
