Fallen petals of the Goldenrain tree, native to China.  Yellow was the royal color—it meant Power, Prosperity, Hope. Emperors wore yellow robes and traveled in yellow carriages during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Yellow is associated with the earth element and is considered a stabilizing energy that balances Yin-Yang. Decorating your kitchen in yellow is considered to bring good fortune. And in China, there is the Yellow River and the Yellow Sea.

I recently watched a heart-warming movie about the Homeless World Cup—“A Beautiful Game.”  Based on real events centered on international soccer competitions—and the larger Game of Life—the movie conspires to inspire connectedness and hope…and winning beyond the game. Hope plus action makes things happen.
