Thirteen days ago I spotted poison ivy buds. These would be my first poison ivy flowers and I was curious—what kind of blossoms? Yesterday I was delighted to see many, many clusters of tiny white flowers, yet careful not to get too close. Then I heard a familiar sound. I saw the bees. They were hovering all around the flowers, flying in and out of the clusters, humming as they went about gathering nectar to make honey. I wonder, will their honey be sweet or hot, or maybe a bit of both!
