321. morning practice
only in a secondary way does morning practice become a discipline that keeps me grounded in the order and the disorder of daily life in this unpredictable, unruly world we are all living in right now. what are we all doing here anyway? learning the art of allowing, of getting along, of accommodating and adjusting….one-day-at-a-time. it’s not easy and there is no escape. the trick is to remain engaged, don’t go spinning off too far or tripping out. just like patience, practice pays.

301. thinking not thinking
— plants can do incredible things. research has shown plants have all the same senses as humans, and they respond. in addition to hearing or taste, for example, they can sense gravity, the presence of water, or even feel that an obstruction is in the way of its roots before coming into contact with it; plant roots will shift direction to avoid an obstacle. plants even have memory…. https://www.pri.org/stories/2014-01-09/new-research-plant-intelligence-may-forever-change-how-you-think-about-plants
