1907. cool

windy night—cold and quiet
nothing but white clouds blowing by
hiding the moon

Half-past six, 6:27PM, wind still whipping, 21° feeling like 8°.  I headed for the library to pick up a couple of books before the library closed two days for the holiday. It was quiet and dark, but seemed bright, I looked up at the sky. Cool.

1906. early morning

wind blowing last night
wind still blowing this morning
now it’s my nose!

I pulled up the shade to look out the window. My upstairs neighbor driving off  to work. The wind, the wind, oh the wind. . .it doesn’t stop. It’s not a pretty picture. I went to bed, it was blowing. I woke up, it’s still blowing. And cold, too cold.🥶 Winter haiku.

1905. rocket ship

like a rocket ship
lifting up off the shore
91 million miles

Day after Christmas, I didn’t want to put on my shoes and step out so early that morning. Glad I did!  “Open your eyes and see what’s there right in front of you.”🤩
